TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
